subtle revolution

"There are two kinds of revolutionists, as of most things- a good kind and a bad. The bad revolutionists destroy conventions by appealing to fads- fashions that are newer than conventions. The good do it by appealing to facts that are older than conventions." (G.K. Chesterton)

I have just returned home from viewing the film "Amazing Grace." The story of William Wilberforce and his tireless efforts for the abolition of the slave trade in the British Empire is long overdue for recognition by the general American populous. The film was well done and powerful in its rendering of this great tale. I highly recommend seeing this movie.

It is a resounding reminder that we must never underestimate a persistent lone voice when it sounds forth with the truth of God and echoes in the choir of the heavens.
