Waves of thoughts crash upon my mind.
The world desires to penetrate my heart.
The seas and the storms seek to overcome me.
Why am I so willing to oblige? Do I not know better?
Yet your Word has been written on my heart O Lord.

"Quiet. Be still."

Your voice rings out, cutting through all commotion.
No longer do the waves crash- eroding my moral stronghold.
No longer do the fears pierce.
Peace sets in by your clarion call.
You are the calmer of the storm.
