subtle revolution

"There are two kinds of revolutionists, as of most things- a good kind and a bad. The bad revolutionists destroy conventions by appealing to fads- fashions that are newer than conventions. The good do it by appealing to facts that are older than conventions." (G.K. Chesterton)

an uncle again

My sister gave birth to her second daughter this morning. Congratulations Stephanie, Brian & Paige! Paige is a big sister now- she has been getting excited about the new baby. I think she's going to be great.

I'm excited because this is my fourth niece. I love all my girls. I can't get enough of them- and it drives me bonkers that I'm so far from them during these formidable years.

But I'm going to get to see them all soon enough. I'll be making a special trip up to see my new niece and her family sometime this week. Then, I'll make another trip up when we celebrate all of the March birthdays for our family. Writing that reminds me... my niece was born on my sister's birthday! Happy Birthday Steph! How could I ever top that gift?

So... here's the vital statistics: Addyson Brooke Edwards was born at 8:35 (?) AM on March 10, 2007. She is 7lbs. 2 oz. and she is 18 3/4" long.

Welcome to our world Addyson! We've been waiting and praying for you!

I guarantee I will be posting pictures when I see her. check back soon!
